Had a "mom" moment today when I stopped to notice that 

Jalen and his friend were playing memory in a "correct" 

organized fashion all by themselves.  I realized he really is growing up.

They played all day while two friends (their mom's) 

caught up on life...starting where we left off, sharing life, 

laughs and fears.  It's funny how you can do that and great 

when you know you have a friend like that.

9.2.10 - Spiders

Spiders!  Growing up my family always thought it was funny to place toy spiders in a random place to try and scare each other.  Many times you didn't mention that it scared you, you simply carried on the tradition and hid it for someone else to find.  I'll never forget the time that it was hanging from the shower current, when I pulled the current closed it moved and almost gave me a heart attack.  Thanks MOM, I mean Rickie.  Well, the tradition continues.  I came home tonight and Jalen was grinning and giggling from ear to ear.  He had left a plastic spider on my bed to scar me.

9.1.10 - Half Birthday

 

Thanks to the academic system and their need to celebrate birthdays during the school year, we will be celebrating Jalen's half birthday now on Feb 7. At Jalen's preschool open house Feb 7 was written under his name on the bulletin board.
