4.30.12 - Finger Sucker

Jalen loved a "pacie" and easily gave that up

at the age of two.  Ty loves his thumb and I'm

not sure how we will get him to get give that up.

Lauren, as you can see, found her fingers.  It

really doesn't matter which 2, 3 or 4 fingers she

uses, just as long as she finds them.

4.29.12 - Ty, Ty...Get Ready for This Little Lady

Mady has plans and loves to tell Ty what's going on

and where they need to go.  When the name Ty, Ty rolls off her

tongue, it is the cutest thing.  It is going to be hoot watching

these two grow up together.

4.28.12 - Clocked 23.5 & Spring Traditions

Clocked 23.5 miles that is, this week goes down in history. 

Ran 5 on Sunday, 7 on Tuesday, 2.5 on Friday and 9 on Saturday.

I didn't know I had it in me...not sure my body liked the 9 miler.

Thanks Mom for making this year's first rhubarb pie.
Oh, the memories that come with the taste of rhubarb.
I miss Grandpa & Grandma.

4.27.12 - Just Reading the Mail

Did I mention she loves grabbing things and in this case

slobbering a hole through it.

4.26.12 - Simple Pleasures

A cup of House Blend Starbucks, 

2 tbls York Creamer and

1 scoop of hot coco.

Oh, the comfort and little escape 

I get during the time it takes to drink this

delicious concoction.

4.25.12 - Morning Routine

 

Our mornings just got a whole lot easier.

Jalen now works his way through the list

all by himself...no more nagging or frustration 

from him or us.  It really isn't fancy but it 

sure has brought some peace into the

morning routine at this house.

Being the youngest she always has someone to play with.

4.22.12 - Jalen Looses His 1st Tooth

 

It's about time, that tooth has been loose for a month.

Do you see the adult tooth that is coming in

behind the hole from the baby tooth?  There won't

be a empty space there for long...I'm thinking someone

is going to need braces when he gets a little older. 

The Dads take the boys on their first mountain bike

ride...Jalen wondered if he was going to ride on 

an ice covered mountain.  Sorry kid, but you 

live in Michigan!

4.21.12 - 4 Months

Lauren just started rolling over from her back

to her tummy and loves grabbing for things.

Just a few things to capture for memory lane...

On the way to the game Jalen tells me he is 

going to hit a home run for me.

During the game he slid into every base 

regardless of whether it is needed or not.

Out of frustration, he ran across the field to tell 

one of his teammate to throw the ball to first base 

when he catches the ball.

4.17.12 - Being A T-Ball Player...

...is a little more official when

you get your hat and team shirt.

Let's go Giants!

His first game is tomorrow.

4.16.12 - Loyal Lauren

When Lauren was sick all she wanted was her mama...I have 

to say her mom was a little worried about how that would

work when Lauren was at daycare.  As it turned out once

she started feeling better she returned to taking bottles.

Thank goodness!

4.15.12 - Answers From The ER Visit

We are so lucky to have access to such great medical care.

Our little Lauren is now on her way to recovery.

4.14.12 - Has it Been Four Hours Yet?

Has it been 4 hours yet?

This was the question Derk and I asked eachother

all weekend.  Our poor baby girl was not happy.

Lauren completes her first week of daycare and 

comes home with her first fever...poor thing!

We were at the pool from 9 - 4 three days in a row. 

The boys were water logged by Friday.

Jalen is my crableg buddy...this year we had him cracking them open.

Unfortunatley, his love for legs shifted due to all the work.

We learned very quickly that the pool just worked better for

our family and only spent 1 day at the beach.
